3. Los Angeles Chargers

For 16 seasons, the Los Angeles Chargers haven’t had to think about the quarterback position, but a potential Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee, Philip Rivers, is at the end of his current deal, and it doesn’t seem like the Chargers are making any moves to keep him or extend him.

Rivers may have a little left in the tank, but at this point, the Chargers have to come to the realization that if they’re going to hoist that elusive Lombardi Trophy, they’re going to have to do so with someone else leading them.

Like Newton, a fresh start for Rivers may be what the doctor ordered.

4. Denver Broncos

We all know, by now, that John Elway, one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history and the current GM of the team that he won two Super Bowls for, is obsessed with finding a great quarterback to carry on the mantle for the Denver Broncos. Since Peyton Manning‘s retirement, he’s tried everything. Nothing’s worked.

No, Newton may never be that guy that we saw in 2015 again, but he is better than Paxton Lynch, Joe Flacco, and Brock Osweiler. Don’t think for a second that Elway won’t add Newton.
