5. ‘Hungry dogs run faster’ – Jason Kelce, Eagles Super Bowl Victory parade, February of 2017

Who on Earth knows what ‘Hungry dogs run faster’ means? Perhaps, the answer to that lies in the minds of The Good Lord in Heaven and Jason Kelce only. Mama and Papa Kelce must have been proud as was the rest of the ‘City of Brotherly Love’.

Jason Kelce stepped to the podium during Philly’s victory celebration that began with a parade and ended on the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art (the same steps fictional boxer Rocky climbed). What followed was a profanity-ladened all-out assault on Philly’s detractors.

What followed was a call to arms for Philly residents and Eagles fans everywhere. What followed was the most famous speech in the history of victory parades.

Jason Kelce may never have to pay for another meal in the ‘City of Brotherly Love’ again, and when his playing days are over, he might want to think about running for mayor. He has a real shot at winning if he does. May the Good Lord help us all when he delivers that victory speech.

The only thing we’d change: Perhaps, the correct thing to do is to say that he could have chilled with the profane language, but umm no. Just like ‘You want Philly Philly?’, there’s no need to change anything here.
