3. Seahawks

Don’t look now, but the Seattle Seahawks just quickly jumped from the Wild Card to a first-round bye as a result of their win over the Minnesota Vikings Monday night on top of the San Francisco 49ers losing on Sunday to the Baltimore Ravens.

More from Inside the Iggles

Plenty could happen from now until the end of December, but knowing the Seahawks, Pete Carroll’s squad isn’t going to let the NFC West title slip away since they realize what kind of advantage this could provide in January.

But before looking too far ahead, Seattle faces another difficult matchup in Week 14 against a Los Angeles Rams that is feeling extra thankful for their rivals taking down Minnesota.

Heading into Week 14, the Rams only trail the Vikings by one game for the No. 6 seed in the NFC playoff picture, but if Seattle can find a way to sweep their rivals on the season, this would help Philadelphia gain some ground in the standings.

As previously mentioned, the Wild Card currently seems like a long shot for the Eagles at the moment, but when has that ever stopped the team before?

Until anything becomes official, Philadelphia is going to continue fighting for a playoff spot, and if that means having to beat out Los Angeles, then so be it.
