5. Get Arcega-Whiteside more involved

Back in the spring when the Eagles decided to use a second-round pick on JJ Arcega-Whiteside, the original game plan seemed to consist of the rookie wideout finding a way to make an immediate impact on offense.

Unlike most young receivers in his position, Arcega-Whiteside found himself in the perfect position to benefit from opposing defenses focusing most of their attention on some of his teammates, whether it was Alshon Jeffery or Zach Ertz.

Instead, Arcega-Whiteside’s rookie campaign can be best described as a disappointment for the most part since the wideout only has six catches to his name heading into Week 14, one of which happened to be his first career touchdown in the loss to the Miami Dolphins.

Over the years, Philadelphia has seen numerous high draft picks at wide receiver turn out to be complete busts, but just because Arcega-Whiteside’s first NFL season hasn’t gone according to plan doesn’t mean he should be written off.

If anything, Arcega-Whiteside should focus on the most important factor, which is using this rookie season as a learning experience to benefit the wideout in the long run.

Since Arcega-Whiteside will officially have a year of experience under his belt by the start of 2020, things can only go up from here for the young Eagles wideout.
