3. Can Philadelphia’s defense bounce back?

Despite the Eagles coming up short in previous weeks leading up to Week 13 in tough losses to the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks, Philadelphia did receive some praise for their impressive play on the defensive side of the football.

Any defense holding both the Patriots and Seahawks to scoring just 17 points seems to be worthy of being considered a top defensive unit in the league since each team arguably has two of the top offense, although New England has been struggling in recent weeks.

Still, when seeing how great the Eagles looked on defense against these two playoff contenders, a matchup against the Dolphins made it seem like the group would be in for a field day in Week 13 since Miami’s offense was considered a laughing stock across the league.

As Philadelphia learned the hard way, this was far from the case after Miami found a way to overcome a poor start, and finish the game with 37 points, putting plenty of pressure on the defense heading into Monday.

If Miami found a way to make the Eagles look as bad as they did on defense, why shouldn’t the Giants feel confident enough in being able to do the same against their rivals?
