2. Will NFC East pressure catch up to Eagles?

With the Cowboys playing on Thursday this week, the Eagles will know what kind of situation they face leading up to Monday’s contest.

If Dallas finds a way to defeat the Chicago Bears, Philadelphia will face even more pressure to defeat New York since a loss by the Eagles would result in the team trailing the Cowboys by two games in the division standings.

But if the Eagles get lucky by receiving some extra help from the Bears, well then Philadelphia would be in the same situation as last week in which a win over the Giants would result in being tied with the Cowboys.

Football fans can say whatever they want about how much of a joke the NFC East has been in 2019, but the Eagles and their fans won’t care if they finish on top of the division to earn a trip to the playoffs.

Since Philadelphia has failed to take advantage of numerous opportunities to move ahead of Dallas in the standings, the pressure to overtake their rivals is on the verge of hitting new levels with the Eagles running out of time to catch up.

And if Philadelphia thought the pressure was already high in recent weeks, just imagine what it will be if they end up losing to New York.
