There are pros and cons to everything.

1. Aren’t you tired of distractions?

Once upon a time, the Eagles were a class organization and kept all of their business in house. They were a destination spot for free agents, and anytime anyone of any note became available, their names were always being said in conjunction with Philly’s.

If you’ll remember, regardless of how things turned out, much of the reason Alshon Jeffery decided to come to Philly in the first place was the fact that he wanted to play with Carson Wentz. Somewhere along the lines, however, the Eagles became the Dallas Cowboys. These days, the drama is everywhere.

There are anonymous sources, snitches, burner accounts, and whatever that was when Lane Johnson said that guys need to be held accountable for showing up to meetings late. Distractions abound in Philly, and adding a walking distraction in OBJ may not be the best course of action. Is he worth the investment? There’s really no proof that having Beckham on your football team creates results in playoff teams. At this point, it’s never happened for any other team that he’s been on.
