1. Haskins is due for a breakout game

Like most rookie quarterbacks in the middle of their first season, Dwayne Haskins is clearly a work in progress for the Redskins, and has plenty of learning to do before the Ohio State product is on the necessary level to make Washington’s offense consistent.

However, the argument can also be made that Washington hasn’t exactly put their rookie quarterback in the best position to succeed, and once they build a proper offense around the youngster, one can only imagine how much his game will elevate.

The fact that Haskins has thrown for under 200 passing yards in four of five starts this season shows what kind of work in progress he is for the Redskins, but also Sunday could be the perfect opportunity for that first big breakout game.

To say Philadelphia’s cornerbacks have been inconsistent all season would be a huge understatement, and watching Darius Slayton torch the unit for two big touchdowns on Monday is the perfect example of the issues.

Haskins doesn’t have the most reliable weapons in the world to work with in the passing game, but if he can find a way to take advantage of the situation on defense for the Eagles, this could turn out to be one of the biggest surprises from the weekend.
