2. Mike McCarthy, former head coach of the Packers

To be totally honest, it’s still hard to believe that Mike McCarthy isn’t somebody’s head coach now. Oh yeah. That’s right. There was that thing in Wisconsin with the Green Bay Packers. Giving Aaron Rodgers that type of power is dangerous, but that’s another story for another day. As far as McCarthy is concerned, there may be a rose growing from the concrete he’s been buried under.

Sometimes, guys just need a fresh start, and McCarthy may get that if the Redskins take a serious interest in him. There’s just one issue, and it’s a big one.

As of about 9 p.m. EST on December 11th on the East Coast here’s been nothing from any reputable source that says the ‘Skins are interested (or anyone else). This dude is a winner though. Try a 125–77–2 regular-season win-loss total and a 10–8 record in the postseason on for size.

With all the issues that the Redskins have had, ask yourself a question. If they seriously considered adding Bowles to the coaching staff, why not give Mccarthy an interview?
