4. Chris Long, defensive end, retired

As mentioned, Michael Bennett wrecked shop with nine sacks in 2018. Chris Long chipped in with 6.5 sacks and three tackles that resulted in a loss of yardage. Both were gone before the start of the 2019 preseason. Big mistake Philly!

Long’s leadership has been missed. So has his hustle. Here are the sack totals for the defensive ends on Philly’s current roster: Genard Avery has a half a sack, Derek Barnett has 4.5, Vinny Curry has four, Daeshon Hall has one, Josh Sweat has three and Shareef Miller has yet to register his first sack or find his way onto the field with any real consistency. Do you see the point?

The more you think about it, the more maddening it becomes. Are the coaches even paying attention?
