Philadelphia Eagles: 5 players to fear most on Redskins during Week 15
By Dan Parzych
5. Chris Thompson
Technically, Chris Thompson is a running back for the Redskins, but every football fan knows his real talent is at wide receiver.
The fact that Thompson only has 26 rushes to his name entering Week 15 in eight games compared to 35 catches in 2019 shows this appears to be exactly the case.
Philadelphia may not consider Thompson the biggest threat on offense for Washington, but they should remember that he did finish with the most receptions on the team back in Week 1 after catching seven passes for 68 yards.
Knowing the Redskins, there’s a good chance that Thompson will see plenty of passes thrown in his direction against the Eagles since he’s proven to be able to take the simplest of passes sometimes, and turn them into solid gains.
Not to mention, with Derrius Guice heading to IR, Thompson could even see some surprise carries in the backfield as well to help take extra pressure off Adrian Peterson.
Also, it should be noted that Thompson’s contract is up after this season, meaning the extra motivation to end the year on a high note could come into play as well, which the Redskins would obviously love to see on offense.
