Strengths and weaknesses

ITI: What’s this team’s biggest weakness on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball?

Steven Mullenax: Although dropped passes and offensive line penalties have been issues for the Cowboys this season, I’m going to go with an inability to run the ball consistently as their top weakness.

In their big win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, we saw what a successful rushing attack does for Dallas. The Cowboys coaching staff seemed to be ready and willing to give up on the run at the first sign of adversity, and with the Dallas defense struggling, the Cowboys offense has often found themselves behind on the scoreboard, which forced them to abandon the run to get back into the game.

On the defensive side of the ball, tackling has been the biggest issue as of late, but there have been numerous issues across the board from injuries, penalties, a lack of takeaways to baffling run defense.
