3. Malcolm Jenkins

Replacing a leader on defense in Brain Dawkins following the 2008 decision was nearly an impossible task for Philadelphia, but at least Malcolm Jenkins eventually came on board down the road.

First off, let the record show that Jenkins is nowhere near the same level as Dawkins since there’s a reason the safety is already in the Hall of Fame, and will always be considered one of the greatest to ever suit up in an Eagles uniform.

But when it comes to Jenkins, the current Philadelphia safety deserves a ton of credit for his leadership displayed over the years, and he’s right up there with a few other key players in regards to how the Super Bowl never would have been possible without him.

Looking back at 2014 when Philadelphia signed Jenkins to a three-year deal worth just a little over $16 million, this was clearly an absolute steal at the time.

Thank goodness the New Orleans Saints decided to pass on bringing Jenkins back, and his two Super Bowl rings alone will make it seem like he’s going to be part of the Canton discussion.

Some Eagles fans have been feeling some frustration towards Jenkins as of late, but at least his consistent play helps make up for it.
