6. Schwartz could be fighting for job

Even though Doug Pederson‘s job is obviously safe, there could be some changes to the Eagles coaching staff once the offseason arrives, one of which could include Jim Schwartz.

First off, it deserves to be stated that without Schwartz’s incredible job at running the defense throughout the 2017 season, chances are Philadelphia would still be in search of their first Super Bowl title in franchise history.

But unfortunately, Schwartz is the perfect example of how quickly things can change in the NFL since the Eagles’ defense has been on the decline since that epic Super Bowl run.

Putting the entire blame on Schwartz may sound unfair to some, but also the defense has been extremely frustrating to watch at times throughout 2019.

Not to bring up a sore subject again, but that loss in Miami is the perfect example of how inconsistent Schwartz’s defense has been at times, and if they see a similar outing against Dallas, someone’s job at defensive coordinator could be at risk.

Whether this would seem fair or not, the Eagles are simply too talented of a team to let a season like this go to waste, and missing out on the playoffs will certainly bring up the on defense of if the unit would have been better with someone else besides Schwartz.
