The cornerbacks (6): Jalen Mills, Rasul Douglas, Brandon Boykin, Patrick Robinson, Cre’Von LeBlanc, Avonte Maddox

A quick look at this list tells you quite a few things. Philly may have given up on a few guys too early. Finding a cornerback can be a crapshoot, and not only that, the best defensive backs the Eagles have acquired for the past ten years came to be Eagles by offseason signings and an accidental finding that they really can’t take credit for.

This team can’t draft a great corner to save their lives. Now, while it seems as though Avonte Maddox may work out, it appears that Sidney Jones is the exact opposite. Some will disagree with the addition of Brandon Boykin to this team, but he made some great plays in his time here. Patrick Robinson, though his time was short, made the most of his opportunity. Rasul Douglas, Jalen Mills, and Cre’Von LeBlanc round out a list of corners who are the best among a unit that’s been in chaos for ten years.

The safeties (3): Malcolm Jenkins, Rodney McLeod, Corey Graham

Malcolm Jenkins and Rodney McLeod are no brainers. Corey Graham is a very serviceable reserve and proved that for two stints here. Chris Maragos has already been mentioned as a special teamer who can fill a void and play safety if need be, but Jenkins never comes off of the field, so you may not need him.
