4. Mike McCarthy

When football fans hear Mike McCarthy‘s name, they will immediately think back to the 2010 season in which he helped the Green Bay Packers earn a Super Bowl title, which also happened to be the first and only of Aaron Rogers‘ career.

Since Rodgers has always been one of the top quarterbacks in the league throughout his career, and seems to be a lock for Canton when the time comes, most football fans assumed that McCarthy would have earned at least one more title with the Packers.

Instead, McCarthy was let go in the middle of the 2018 season after Green Bay failed to earn a trip to the playoffs for a second year in a row.

With his offensive mindset, it’s easy to make the case that McCarthy would be a great fit with the Giants since Jones and Barkley are only scratching the surface of their true NFL potential.

But of course, the concerns will still be there with McCarthy after seeing how his final two years played out with the Packers since he received a ton of blame for letting some of the prime years for Rodgers go to complete waste.

McCarthy may not seem like the biggest threat as a head coaching candidate, but with a Super Bowl title to his name, who knows what to really expect if this were to happen.
