So, the Seahawks are dominant on the road, huh?

In week 14, Seattle was completely outplayed by a Los Angeles Rams team that failed to qualify for the playoffs. In a 28-12 debacle that was never really as close as the score indicates, the Seahawks lone touchdown came from an interception by star defensive back Quandree Diggs. That resulted from a miscommunication between Rams receiver Robert Woods and quarterback Jared Goff. L.A.’s quarterback had the fourth-most interceptions in the NFL by the way.

Most recently, in their last road game of the year, the Seahawks fended off a comeback from a five-win Carolina Panthers team that allowed the second-most points on defense in the entire NFL. Panthers quarterback Kyle Allen threw three interceptions, and the Panthers still had a chance to win. Seattle won by a narrow margin, 30-24.

Despite all of the hype around the Seahawks’ success on the road, their resume isn’t as impressive as it sounds. Combine this with the fact that the Eagles defense has been lights out at home, and this game doesn’t appear to be the slam dunk for Seattle that everyone says it is.

Over the last six home games, the Eagles defense is allowing an average of just over 13 points per game, and they haven’t allowed more than 17 points over that span. With everything at stake in week 16, they faced off with the Dallas Cowboys, who led the league in total yards per game. Coming into this game, Dallas averaged 24 points per game and just over 407 yards per game on the road, but thanks to 65,000 loud fans, Philly held Dallas to just nine points and 311 yards.
