3. Philly loses a veteran presence in the locker room.

Leadership is one of those things that gets overlooked and is extremely underrated. There’s no stat for it. Rarely is it considered when contracts are negotiated. We talk about it when discussing quarterbacks, especially at draft time. Then, we forget about it until it appears that someone in a leadership position doesn’t have any.

Malcolm Jenkins doesn’t call the signals on defense. That’s a linebacker’s job, but he’s been a fixture in what these team has done and in this team’s major success stories since his arrival. IF you’ve never done it, just look at the job he did back in February of 2018 on Super Bowl Sunday.

That’s what you lose if you lose ’27’. We’ve complimented Carson Wentz for the way he’s elevated his teammates on offense. Jenkins has done that for his defensive teammates more times than we can count.
