3. Concerns over results in Dallas

Right away, if the Giants somehow end up hiring Garrett as their next offensive coordinator, the first thought that will be on the minds of every football fan will be how things played out with the Cowboys.

More from Inside the Iggles

As previously mentioned, Dallas arguably had a team capable of reaching the Super Bowl on paper, and this appeared to be the case over the last couple of years.

So when the Cowboys couldn’t even win the NFC East with an Eagles team missing their top three receivers and one of their top running backs, it was easy to understand the frustration behind Garrett.

In fact, if Garrett failed to get the necessary results with all of the talent he had to work with in Dallas, why should New York feel confident in anything being different with the Giants?

Fresh starts on new teams sometimes help certain coaches and players turn a new leaf, but no matter how much Garrett tries to avoid the topic of how things played out with the Cowboys, the concerns aren’t going to disappear anytime soon.

If anything, Garrett would be facing a much bigger challenge coaching the Giants compared to what he was fortunate enough to work with as head coach in Dallas, and it’s not even debatable.
