4. Phillip Dorsett

When it comes to first-round busts from the 2015 NFL Draft, it’s safe to say that Phillip Dorsett deserves to be on the list since the Colts previously had high expectations in him eventually becoming a top wideout in the league.

Instead, Dorsett was eventually traded to the New England Patriots at the start of the 2017 season, and would end up playing the next three years for the team.

On a positive note, at least Dorsett was able to accomplish something that not all players get to say after winning a Super Bowl with the team during the 2018 season.

And while 2019 was arguably Dorsett’s best season in the NFL after catching 29 passes for 397 yards with five touchdowns in 14 games, there were numerous occasions in which Tom Brady didn’t hold his frustration back on the wideout.

Since the Patriots are in a tough position of their own in which they could use help in the wide receiver department, there’s always the chance of New England deciding to give it another go with Dorsett.

But also, the fact that New England only signed Dorsett to a one-year deal last offseason makes it seem pretty clear they may not be convinced over the wideout being part of the long-term plans, which could work out to the advantage of the Eagles.
