George Edwards, currently the DC in Minnesota

George Edwards has been coaching in the NFL since before some of you who are reading this began watching football. Where does one begin? He began with some collegiate experience from 1991 to 1997 before crossing over to the NFL in 1998.

Since then, he’s served as the defensive coordinator for three professional franchises, the Washington Redskins in 2003, the Buffalo Bills from 2010 until 2011, and the Minnesota Vikings from 2014 until now.

As you know, the defensive plays are called by Mike Zimmer, but if Edwards is of the theory that he wants more responsibility and the possibility of being a head coach one day, the Eagles job may be one that he wouldn’t be able to say no to.
