Greg Ward, wide receiver

Maybe the Eagles are a tad stubborn. Maybe they don’t want to be wrong. Maybe Carson Walch was one of the top-five worse hires of the past decade. Maybe it was all of those things, but here’s what can be stated definitively.

JJ Arcega-Whiteside may not be as bad as we thought. D.K. Metcalf would have probably struggled here too if he had a coach like Walch, and there’s no excuse for hanging on to Mack Hollins when everyone knew in the preseason that Greg Ward was better. Ward was the best receiver Carson Wentz had in 2019. Think about that.
