2020 NFL Mock Draft 1.0: Eagles focus on safety with Grant Delpit
By Dan Parzych
Teams with multiple draft picks early on are becoming a common area during this time of the upcoming draft, and if the Jacksonville Jaguars plan on bouncing back in 2020, the defense needs to figure out a way to return to their form from a few years ago.
Even though the Jaguars decided to move on from Jalen Ramsey before the trade deadline last October, if the team were to find a way to make the right moves this offseason, the unit could be in much better shape for 2020.
Like most teams, Jacksonville has a few positions they will be focusing on over the next few months, one of which happens to be the defensive line.
When it comes to the top players at the position from the upcoming class, there’s a good chance that South Carolina’s Javon Kinlaw will be well off the board by the end of the first round.
Does this mean the Jaguars should strongly consider Kinlaw if he happens to still be available at No. 20?
Kinlaw certainly isn’t going to solve all the problems the Jaguars were experiencing this past season, but his ability as a pass-rusher would be another step in the right direction for this defense.
