Chase Young. player. 58. Pick Analysis. Edge. Ohio State. Scouting Report. 2

The good news for the Washington Redskins is if the Bengals do in fact go with Burrow at No. 1 as expected, the team will be in the perfect position to land Young at No. 2.

Talent wise, the Ohio State star has made a very strong case for being the top defender from this year’s draft class, and would most likely be an easy selection for the top overall pick by Cincinnati if Burrow didn’t put together such a historical season.

As a sophomore during the 2018 season in which Young recorded 10.5 sacks, the star defender already appeared to have a bright future in the NFL, just like other former Buckeye greats from over the years.

But after watching Young finish this past season with 16.5 sacks in 12 games, there’s no question he’s ready to take his talents to the NFL level, and could be a great addition to the Redskins’ defense.

With Ron Rivera officially on board as the new head coach in Washington, the addition of Young would be another great addition to the defense while helping the team work their way towards becoming relevant again in the NFC East.

Plus, with Dwayne Haskins getting the chance to reunite with his former teammate, who wouldn’t want to see this for the Redskins?
