Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Alabama. Jedrick Wills. player. Offensive Tackle. 4. 31

Now that Daniel Jones is officially the quarterback of the future for the New York Giants, it’s time for the team to build a better offense around the former Duke star.

Last spring, the Giants took some criticism for their decision to go with Jones in the first round of the draft when looking at some of the other players available, but after watching his rookie campaign this past season, no one seems to be questioning the choice anymore.

Like most rookies, Jones clearly has a few areas in need of improvement before he can be considered a top quarterback in the league, but some of his monster performances as a rookie certainly show tons of potential.

Luckily, Jones is already fortunate enough to have a top young running back on the rise to work with in Saquon Barkley after the former Penn State star ended 2019 on a hot note.

However, when it comes to New York’s offensive line, this is one of the areas the Giants need to focus on improving in the upcoming draft.

More than ever, New York needs to make sure Jones receives the proper protection moving forward, or it’s going to be difficult for the Giants quarterback to take the offense to new levels in 2020.

Since the Giants don’t need to focus on selecting a quarterback this year, a selection such as Jedrick Wills seems almost too perfect for the offense since the tackle seems capable of making an immediate impact to the unit right away as a rookie.

With the kind of explosiveness Wills possesses, why wouldn’t New York express interest here?
