In 2019, Jamie Newman completed 61 percent of his passes, racking up 2,868 yards and 26 touchdowns in the process. The 11 interceptions don’t look good, but he compensated with another 464 yards and six touchdowns when he tucked the ball and decided to run.
That gives him a carer stat line of 306 completions on 506 attempts (that’s good for a 61-percent completion percentage) to go along with 3,959 passing yards and 35 touchdown passes. He added 826 rushing yards and ten rushing touchdowns on 245 attempts as a runner.
He’s raw, having only played in 19 games (12 of those were this past season), but if he shines in his Pro Day and at the NFL Combine, he can get a pretty decent buzz going. He’s already getting a few Day 2 grades from a few NFL scouts, but others have him going on Day 4. Just like everyone else on this list, we’ll have to wait and see how things develop.
