1. The Eagles land Byron Jones and Logan Ryan.

How many more ways can we spin the narrative of Philly’s desperate need to get better at the cornerback position? Every single one of us has mentioned free agents, NCAA prospects, and the guys who are already on the current roster, and we’ve offered our opinions about what they should or shouldn’t be doing.

No one agrees on anything other than the theories Ronald Darby needs to go and the ‘Birds’ need to invest an early-round selection on a corner. Every other opinion or angle varies depending on who you’re speaking to at the moment.

Sure, the need for Philly to invest a draft choice (or two) on a cover guy is obvious, but the Eagles are going to have to explore every other option they have available as well. That means they’ll need to consider diving into the free agency pool (or at least dipping their toe in the water to see if it’s warm).

During the regular season, Philly missed out on the Jalen Ramsey sweepstakes. They also declined to make a push for Chris Harris Jr. at the trade deadline. Now, Harris and several other stars highlight a decent crop of potentially available talent.

Expect Philly to spend money on not one but two of them. The ‘Birds’, once its all said and done may have upwards of more than $40 million to play around with, and it’s not out of the realm of possibility that they acquire Byron Jones, one of the league’s best, and Logan Ryan, someone who will be hard to ignore as he provides a nice balance of skill and an affordable price tag.

Just like that, they could potentially lock down both starting positions. They can figure the depth and everything else out in the NFL Draft.
