5 Way-too-early bold predictions for Philadelphia Eagles 2020 offseason
3. Rumors about the defensive end position end with a surprise signing.
The goal for the Eagles this offseason is to get more talented, faster, and younger. If they’re interested in taking a look at some of the potential available free agents at defensive end, there will be opportunities to get some things done.
Many of the guys who’ll be seen as the best at the position are in the 25-to-29-years-old range. This past season, Philly’s fan base was split on the idea of bringing Jadeveon Clowney into the fold. That probably won’t be the case come March. Fans aren’t too happy with him, and the Seattle Seahawks may be of the opinion that they want to lock him up with a long-term extension.
Plus, there’s the issue of him being injury-prone. If Clowney isn’t on the table or if someone else scoops him, Philly will have a few other options.
Dante Fowler, Matt Judon, Emmanuel Ogbah, Carl Nassib, and Ronald Blair are all in their twenties, and all of them balled when given an opportunity in 2019. Eagles fans are aware that Roseman doesn’t mind handing out the money.
Eagles fans can expect a surprise addition as one of those guys figures to be trading one of their current jerseys for one that’s midnight green in color. All five of the above names are decent options.
