1. Joe Thomas

Around this time each year, it always seems like a popular topic of discussion that Philadelphia needs help at the linebacker position, and this will be the case once again.

The Eagles’ defense has rightfully received all sorts of high praise over the last couple of years for having a solid unit to work with, but also the linebacker could always use improvement.

Two years ago, the Cowboys knew they had nothing to lose in signing Joe Thomas to help fill a similar need at the position, and while there have been a few impressive performances, this is a player that Dallas could also afford to move on from if needed.

Just take a look at how Thomas only received two starts in the 25 games appeared in for the Cowboys over the previous two seasons, and this shows it really wouldn’t come as a surprise if the team decided to move on from the linebacker this offseason.

Of course, if this turns out to be the case for Dallas, just because the Cowboys feel one way about Thomas doesn’t mean the Eagles shouldn’t consider the possibility.

If anything, the numbers from Thomas over the last two seasons could result in the Eagles getting him at a more favorable price, which would certainly help from a depth perspective.
