The last time the terms ‘LSU cornerback’, ‘NFL Draft’, and ‘character concerns’ were all being tossed around the Eagles timelines, we were talking about Jalen Mills. That wound up okay as a guy who got second-round grades slid to the seventh in 2016’s NFL Draft.

The Eagles took Mills 233rd overall and eventually got starting cornerback out of the deal. Not only that, never once did we see anything to justify the concerns about his character.

Sure, he’s fallen victim to his share of double moves and he wags the finger when he has nothing to do with a defensive stop but for the most part, you can’t argue with what Philly’s gotten out of this seventh-rounder.

Fast forward, and the Eagles are again seeking help at cornerback. Again, there’s one from LSU who’s being discussed, and again, there will be comments about ‘character concerns’.

Kristian Fulton was suspended for the entire 2017 season by the NCAA after using another player’s urine to pass a drug test. The interview process for him will be crucial as he’ll be asked about that a lot, but for now, he’s seen as someone who may go late in the first round or early in the second.

He’s six-foot. He tips the scales at 192 pounds, and in the 2019-2020 season, he racked up 32 tackles, a pick, and 13 pass breakups. He’ll serve an NFL team well at the professional level.
