4 Philadelphia Eagles 2020 NFL Draft prospects from Oklahoma
Here’s a guy that will be in everyone’s top ten for prospects at the defensive tackle position. Neville Gallimore‘s exact spot on that list is up for debate. He’s currently being talked about as a Round 2 or Round 3 guy, but an impressive NFL Combine or Oklahoma Pro Day could result in him rising on a few draft boards.
During the 2019-2020 season, he helped launch the Sooners back into the College Football Playoff after recording 30 tackles, four sacks, and two forced fumbles.
The Eagles may ignore the theory of adding a defensive tackle so early in the draft as the wide receiver and cornerback positions appear to be more pressing needs, but Gallimore would satisfy Philly’s desire to add another capable tackle to the interior of their defensive line. Malik Jackson is coming off of an injury that he sustained in the first week of 2019’s regular season. Heck, Fletcher Cox could use a break from time to time to keep him fresh.
At six-foot-two and 301 pounds, that’s exactly the type of punch that the Eagles need on defense and the component that Gallimore provides. Being compared to Grady Jarrett definitely isn’t going to scare anyone away.
