. player. 54. . . . Marvin McNutt, 6th Round

194th-overall selection (2012)

There’s no reason in telling any fibs here. Even the most die-hard of Eagles fans and guys who cover the team daily would have some difficulty in remembering anything interesting about Marvin McNutt. Just tap the retweet buttons on your Twitter accounts if you agree.

Now, don’t take that as a personal attack on your loyalty to the team. McNutt qualifies as one of those guys that’s easy to forget.

After being taken as the 194th-overall selection in 2012’s version of the NFL Draft, he signed a four-year contract on May 9th of that year. He was released during final cuts and re-signed to the practice squad. The Eagles released him for a final time on May 14th of 2013.

He bounced around a little as he wound up on three more NFL rosters between 2013 and 2014. None of that led to anything though.

Sure, once you reach the sixth-round of any draft, you’re just hoping you find someone that pops. Philly rolled the dice on McNutt, and unfortunately, they didn’t find a winner. He never caught a pass in four career games as a member of the Eagles.  Grade: F
