5. player. Toledo. Thakarius Keyes. 54. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Cornerback

Hopefully after three seasons, the Eagles realize it’s time to move on from Ronald Darby since the cornerback has struggled to stay healthy for the most part, and the defense could arguably use someone more reliable at the position.

With Philadelphia also facing the difficult decision in regards to potentially re-signing Jalen Mills along with Sidney Jones and Avonte Maddox still being works in progress, it’s easy to see why cornerback is such a major issue this offseason.

Looking at the combine this weekend, one player that could be worth keeping an eye on for the Eagles is Toledo’s Thakarius Keyes, who could very well see his stock be on the rise after leaving Indianapolis.

From being able to re-position himself when needed on routes to his impressive man-to-man skills in coverage, Keyes will bring plenty to the table once the adjustment is made to playing in the NFL, whether it happens to be for the Eagles or a different team.

Keyes will clearly have plenty to prove at the NFL level since there’s always the small concern sometimes of coming from a smaller school such as Toledo, but as far as potential is concerned, this shouldn’t prevent Philadelphia from considering the possibility come draft time.
