Philadelphia Eagles: 7-Round 2020 mock draft following combine
By Dan Parzych
As great as it is to watch prospects take advantage of the combine to help increase their stock, football fans also need to keep in mind that if a player disappoints, it’s shouldn’t be considered the end of the world.

Take a look at Cameron Dantzler for example, who didn’t exactly live up to the hype in Indianapolis after running a slower 40-yard dash time (4.64), yet still seems capable of helping a team like the Eagles filling their need at cornerback.
Instead of showing concern over Dantzler’s combine performance, Philadelphia should be focused on other things such as his athleticism or range in route coverage to see how great of a selection the Mississippi State product could be.
Due to Ronald Darby‘s inability to stay healthy over the last three seasons on top of young cornerbacks such as Sidney Jones and Avonte Maddox still finding ways to be consistent, it’s easy to understand why cornerback is such a top need for the Eagles this offseason.
A young player like Dantzler isn’t going to solve all the problems at the position, but at least it will be another step in the right direction to help the defense remain in great shape to compete in the NFC.
