893. . . . Stephen Guidry. . player

You have to love Stephen Guidry‘s height. He stands at towering six-foot-four inches, and even though his vertical wasn’t jaw-dropping, it wasn’t disappointing either. He posted a mark of 34 inches and even turned in a 125-inch broad jump.

His hands are enormous at nine and one-eighth inches, and if anyone’s interested, he showed decent wiggle with a showing of 7.31 seconds in the three-cone drill, 4.46 seconds in the 20-yard shuttle, and a 4.47-second 40-yard dash time.

The knocks are why he’s seen as a third or fourth-round selection. He may need to beef up a tad for the pro game. He’s 190 pounds, and when the 2019 season got going, he was on the wrong end of too many dropped passes, something no Eagles fan is going to want to hear.

That’s easy to forget though because while playing on a team that would run the ball all the time if they could, he did have some success while producing a few big plays.

The stat line is underwhelming. We’re talking 24 receptions for 311 yards and four trips to paydirt, but give the guy some slack. You know we haven’t talked much about the Mississippi State Bulldogs and throwing the football there since Dak Prescott left.

Most of the knocks on Guidry are his own doing though. He has to run crisper routes if he isn’t going to run past anyone. He can’t drop the passes. He can’t seem uninterested. If none of that improves, we’re talking about a special team guy or someone that’s left of the final roster entirely, and that would be sad because the guy does have talent.
