10 candidates for Eagles at No. 21 in 2020 NFL Draft following combine

Even though Clemson‘s Tee Higgins made the decision to skip the workouts at the combine, the wideout is still expected to be selected in the first round by a team looking for a top wideout to work with.
Looking at the numbers put together by Higgins during his final two years with the Tigers, the fact that he caught 118 passes, including 25 touchdowns, shows why teams aren’t going to shy away from selecting him early on in the draft, despite not participating in workouts at the combine.
Some of Higgins route-running skills could certainly use some improvement, but hopefully this could be one of the areas the receiver improves on once he makes the official transition to the NFL.
While most teams considering Higgins in the first round of the draft will expect him to be a top wideout right away, the advantage of joining Philadelphia would be the young wideout wouldn’t feel the pressure of being the No. 1 option.
Maybe in the long run when certain veterans such as Jeffery or Jackson are no longer part of the picture, the Eagles would prefer to see someone like Higgins eventually move into the top role, but at least for his rookie campaign, this wouldn’t be the case.
