Another positive: This restores a lot of the fans and the media’s faith in Howie Roseman (for now).

Whether you’ve realized it or not, there was an ugly trend developing. In 2017, it seemed as though Philadelphia was a favored destination for some of the game’s best talent, but recently, it just feels like that isn’t the case currently. It feels like, from the outside looking in, that things have changed.

Has anyone else noticed that, for the past couple of seasons, Howie Roseman is always in on every discussion about every big target that’s seemingly on the move? There were talks about Minkah Fitzpatrick, Jalen Ramsey, Jadeveon Clowney, Byron Jones, and DeAndre Hopkins all joining the Eagles, whether that be by trade or by acquisition. All would have upgraded Philly’s weakening roster. The problem was he didn’t land any of them. Why is Roseman always in the conversation but never closing the deal?

This time, he’s gotten it done, and that should instill a little faith in Howie if you’ve lost any. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t a few question marks though.
