2. Flacco’s numbers have declined

Unfortunately, injuries have resulted in Flacco appearing in just 17 games over the last two seasons as a member of the Broncos and Baltimore Ravens, with his last full season of play taking place in 2017.

During that season, Flacco played a role in helping the Ravens finish with a 9-7 record, but also he barely threw for more than 3,000 yards, and finished with just 18 touchdown passes compared to 13 interceptions.

Sure, the argument can be made that Baltimore’s offense didn’t exactly provide Flacco with the necessary weapons to work with, and this held back his production on offense, but even over the last two seasons, he has only combined for 18 touchdown passes in those 17 games.

Despite stepping up for the Ravens during the 2012 season to help the franchise win their second Super Bowl, one of the biggest debates throughout Flacco’s career has been whether he deserves to be part of the elite category.

And while Flacco certainly made a strong case after winning the Super Bowl that year, his overall career numbers would say he has been average at best for the most part.

Even if some Eagles fans want to make the case that Flacco would benefit from joining an offense loaded with better talent to work with, this still doesn’t seem worth the consideration for Philadelphia.
