New York Jets: Jamal Adams

Keeping the trend going with the safety position, Jamal Adams is another player who heard his name discussed in trade talks last season, meaning he is the perfect candidate to discuss for the Eagles from the New York Jets.

Despite the struggles for the most part surrounding the Jets over the years on both sides of the football, Adams has been considered one of the few positive factors from the previous three seasons.

New York clearly knew they were getting someone special on defense in 2017 after selecting Adams with the sixth overall pick in the draft.

And while it has been great to see Adams make the Pro Bowl in each of the last two seasons, last year’s trade talk made it clear the Jets could always pull the trigger on a potential deal, even if the two parties have been talking extension at times this offseason.

Even though the whole discussion about trying to replace Jenkins sounds like a broken record at this point, this also shows the concerns surrounding the safety position for the Eagles heading into 2020.

After being a top unit in the league over the last three seasons, the last thing Philadelphia can afford to do is see the decision to move on from Jenkins backfire.
