Bryan Edwards. 4. 850. Scouting Report. Wide Receiver. South Carolina. Pick Analysis. player

In four years at South Carolina, Bryan Edwards never crossed the 1,00-yard receiving mark for the Gamecocks, but his consistent numbers make the wideout seem like the perfect No. 2 or No. 3 option for a team in the NFL.

Basically, if the Eagles are looking for more of a role player who wouldn’t have to face the pressure of being the top target on offense, Edwards could be the perfect pick for Philadelphia in the second round.

Watching Edwards catch 126 passes for 1,662 yards and 13 touchdowns over his final two seasons at South Carolina shows what he can bring to Philadelphia’s offense as a rookie if the opportunity were to present itself a few weeks from now.

As previously mentioned, Edwards currently seems like he would be better off as a second or third option at wide receiver, but this doesn’t mean he couldn’t one day develop into the top option the Eagles will eventually be looking for.

With his physical style of play and toughness, there already seems to be a ton of potential surrounding Edwards at the moment leading up to the draft, and if Philadelphia does end up expressing interest, he should be available at No. 53.
