Earning an additional first-round pick for 2020 at No. 13 from the Indianapolis Colts thanks to the DeForest Buckner trade was huge for the San Francisco 49ers since they will be in great position to add the necessary talent on both sides to help make another run at the Super Bowl.

One can only imagine how difficult the last few months have been for the 49ers after coming up short the way they did to the Kansas City Chiefs in February, but at least Kyle Shanahan’s team is built strong enough to remain a top contender in the NFC.

Since San Francisco is in need of improvement at the wide receiver position just like Philadelphia, Henry Ruggs III would be a major help for both teams.

Unfortunately, it would most likely take a lot for the Eagles to convince the 49ers to pull off a trade to land Ruggs, but also with Roseman’s aggressive history from previous trades, and the chance to upgrade Philadelphia’s receiving corps, there’s always hope.

Ruggs was already consisted a potential first-round pick for the draft entering the combine in winter, and the wideout’s blazing speed helped him catch the attention of certain teams even more.

Sooner or later, the Eagles will need to adjust to playing without two of their key veterans in DeSean Jackson and Alshon Jeffery at wide receiver, which could even happen as soon as 2020, depending on how the next few months go.

Even if Ruggs needed a little extra time to adjust at the NFL level, in the long run, this would make for a great addition to the Eagles’ passing game.
