903. . . . Logan Wilson, LB (RD 3, PICK 103). . player

Linebacker Logan Wilson was a four-year starter and three-year captain during his career with the Wyoming Cowboys. He has ideal size, standing at six-foot-two and weighing 241 pounds. He ran a 4.63-second 40-yard dash at the most recent NFL Scouting Combine, and he threw up 21 reps on the bench press.

As a senior, Wilson earned First-Team All-Conference honors in the Mountain West, and he was a third-team All-American.

CBS Sports has Wilson slotted as the tenth-best linebacker in this year’s class. Statistically speaking, at pick 103, the Eagles might be out of range here, seeing as how, since 2015 an average of 12 linebackers have been snagged before the 103rd selection is made. Still, there’s a possibility that a historic number of wide receivers will be drafted in the top 100, and that could state that other positions could go unaddressed.

That means good players could slide, and Logan Wilson could find his way to the “Birds.” Wilson brings his leadership, an abundance of experience, and a pro-ready frame. Joe Marino from The Draft Network has this to say about Wilson in his draft profile:

"Wyoming linebacker Logan Wilson enters the NFL with monster production across four seasons in college, three coming as a team captain. He has the processing skills expected for such an experienced player where his key and diagnose ability shines. He’s physical, urgent and a standout tackler. While Wilson projects well to defending short zones and basic coverage drops, deeper drops and man coverage reps are missing from his tape. In addition, Wilson has good range and fluidity but the explosiveness of a true top talent at the position is lacking. Wilson has the upside of being a starting SAM or MIKE linebacker that provides quality play on the second level. At a minimum he should provide quality depth and special teams upside."

Wilson would undoubtedly add depth to a thin linebacker room in 2020, but his ceiling is high. He has the potential to be a starter for years to come.
