Michael Warren, Cincinnati, running back

Though you typically want to stay away from first-person observations in stories like this one, I have to break that rule here. I own a copy of EA Sports Madden NFL 20, and I’m playing the “Franchise Mode”. Michael Warren II is my starting running back over Miles Sanders and, believe it or not, Corey Clement. He’s already a “Superstar X-Factor”.

How’s that for some expert analysis?

Now, seriously, none of that has anything to do with how well Waren will do as a professional, but here’s something to chew on. In 38 career games, Warren racked up 2,918 yards on 559 carries, an average of 5.2 yards per rush. He scored 37 career touchdowns as a runner and receiver, and he earned two second-team All-AAC nods in the process.

He’s five-foot-nine, and he weighs 226 pounds. Every time undrafted rookies are added to a team’s roster, we wonder if one or two can beat the odds and make the team. Ladies and gentlemen, don’t be surprised if Michael Warren is the man on this list that finds his way onto the final 53-man roster.
