54. . . . John Hightower. 6. player

The Eagles need a wide receiver that can run. That’s all we heard from last year’s regular season, through the most recent offseason and up to the draft. Not only did Philly draft three guys that ran sub-4.5 40-yard dashes, but they also orchestrated a trade that brought Marquise Goodwin into the nest.

In the coming season, DeSean Jackson returns from injury, the hope is JJ Arcega-Whiteside elevates, and late-round additions like John Hightower are going to have to prove that they can edge the more experienced guys on the roster.

It’s easy to say that he can do that knowing that the guys Philly currently employs are Deontay Burnett, River Cracraft, Marcus Green, Alshon Jeffery, Marken Michel, Shelton Gibson, and Robert Davis, but no one knows that for sure.

Oh, and by the way, they upped the ante by signing Khalil Tate, Manasseh Bailey, and Noah Togiai as undrafted free agents post-draft.

Is John Hightower a better option than Greg Ward? No one knows that for sure, but those are the types of questions the Eagles coaches will need to answer. It’s going to be fun to watch Philly’s competition at wide receiver as we lead up to the 2020 season.
