Cornerback (6)

Darius Slay, Avonte Maddox, Cre’Von LeBlanc, Sidney Jones, Nickell Robey-Coleman, Jalen Mills

The one area that the Philadelphia Eagles didn’t address in the most recent draft was the cornerback position, but they’ve got a ton of bodies there already. Philly gave Cre’Von LeBlanc a one-year extension last season while he was still injured. He figures to be around to play it out.

Avonte Maddox wouldn’t be half bad if he was more consistent. Sidney Jones, now in a contract season, might be looking at his final chance to prove that he can play in the NFL.

Jalen Mills is still listed as a cornerback on Philly’s roster, and though we’ve been told that the plan may be to move him to safety, we know he can be serviceable though not great if need be at his current position.

The Eagles added both Darius Slay and Nickell Robey-Coleman in March. There’s a possibility that Philly could make a move between now and the regular season. They have money to spend, but for now, it looks like they’re happy with the secondary as is, once they get rid of Rasul Douglas who’s seemingly long fallen out of favor with the coaching staff.
