3. New Orleans Saints: Week 14 (Home)

Just when it seemed like the New Orleans Saints were early favorites to finish on top of the NFC South for a fourth year in a row during the 2020 season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers went ahead and added Tom Brady to the mix before trading for Rob Gronkowski as well.

But since the Buccaneers won’t be a potential problem until at least the playoffs since they aren’t on the 2020 schedule, the main focus from the NFC South for the Eagles will be their Week 14 matchup with the Saints.

First off, the three-game stretch in which Philadelphia faces the Seattle Seahawks (Week 12), Green Bay Packers (Week 13), and New Orleans will be a true test to see where the Eagles stand compared to some of the top contenders in the NFC.

Despite the Saints coming off another heartbreaking loss in the playoffs last January for a third year in a row, all signs point to the team continuing to be one of the top contenders from the NFC, even if they end up settling for a Wild Card spot down the road.

No one needs to explain to Eagles fans just how difficult it has been at times over the years to defeat Drew Brees, as the future Hall of Famer has caused all sorts of problems, including a few times in the playoffs.

Philadelphia could certainly benefit from playing at home, but even that factor alone may not be enough to take down New Orleans.
