2. As always, there are six games on the Philadelphia Eagles schedule versus the NFC East.

Unless something drastic happens or there’s some catastrophic injury, the NFC East figures to come down, again, to the Eagles and Cowboys, just as it has for the past two seasons. Nothing seems to stand out about the New York Giants. The Washington Redskins have been getting in their own way for quite some time now.

If we went through each team’s roster, the best player at each position in this division might be found on either the Eagles’ or the Cowboys’ depth charts, unless we’re talking about the running back position or the cornerback position, where the Giants currently employ Saquon Barkley and James Bradberry respectively.

The “Birds” also have the best coaching staff.

The Eagles and Cowboys match up with the teams in the AFC North and the NFC West, two divisions whose teams play the NFC East in 2020, better than their division rivals. One can also argue that, when it’s all said and done, both the Eagles’ and Cowboys’ most difficult in-division games will be played versus one another.

Week 16 of 2019 seemed like a changing of the guard in this division, and when you take both team’s offseasons into account, the prospect of Philly sweeping that team in Texas seems to be very likely. You know what they say. The easiest route to the playoffs is by winning your division, and that figures to be what we all see if everything goes according to plan and there are no major injuries on this Eagles team in the coming season.
