player. 54. . . . Offensive line (9).

The Philadelphia Eagles offensive line looks nothing like we thought it might in April.

If you love the Eagles, you’ve gotten to be quite accustomed to hearing and saying ‘next man up’. It’s just a part of the deal, but when was that last time you said that this much before a regular-season game? Philly doesn’t play the Washington Football Team until September 13th, and we already know that, when that happens, the ‘Birds’ are going to be down two, maybe three starters along the offensive front that most of us have been banking on for most of the offseason.

Lane Johnson hasn’t practiced in what feels like two months, but he’s a shoo-in to make the roster. Andre Dillard is out indefinitely and joining him on the team’s IR (injured reserve), even though he may return this season, is Brandon Brooks.

Jeff Stoutland has his work cut out for him, but this team does have some talented youngsters. Jack Driscoll has been impressive. Matt Pryor may be a less-than-stellar left tackle, but he has shown that he can be very good as a guard. The problem is the guy they have playing guard is the best left tackle on the team. He just refuses to do what the coaches are allowing him to do, and the organization is allowing it. That’s another story for another time though.

Verdict: Lane Johnson, Jason Peters, Jason Kelce, Isaac Seumalo, Matt Pryor, Jack Driscoll, Prince Tega Wanogho, Jordan Mailata, Nate Herbig
