. . . Josh Sweat, defensive end. 3. player. 54

Wait! Is Josh Sweat starting for the Philadelphia Eagles now?

Okay, let’s check that injury report again. After all, it could have changed right after you started reading this one. Where is Derek Barnett? Is he hurt? Oh, he’s okay? Good!

By the looks of things, the expectation is that he should be ready to go by Week 1, but with questions surrounding Vinny Curry’s health, whether or not Barnett is one-hundred percent healthy and how effective ’96’ might be after missing some time, one could ask the question.

Josh Sweat could actually be on the field come Week 1, couldn’t he? Take a poll, and the reviews are stellar. Sweat has elevated his play each Summer since entering the NFL. His third one might be his most impressive yet.

’94’ has been as close to dominant as you can be for a practice session. At times, he’s gotten around the edge seemingly at will. Philly needs for that to translate to gamedays and for him to produce in 2020, and if last year was any indication (21 tackles and four sacks while playing 352 defensive snaps, roughly 35 percent of the team’s total), this could be a breakout year for Sweat that we have been waiting for from Barnett.
