Analyzing each Philadelphia Eagles wide receivers Fantasy value
By Smit Bajaj
When healthy, Alshon Jeffery is a force to be reckoned with. His large frame allows him to be a red-zone monster, but he just hasn’t been able to stay healthy these past few years.
It’s unclear to see how Jeffery will be used when he comes back from injury, which makes it tough to evaluate him as a Fantasy football prospect. At the very least, he’s worth a spot on your bench if you can pick him up later.
Second-year Eagle JJ Arcega-Whiteside is on a downward trend. What happened to him turning thins around in Year 2? He wasn’t targeted against Washington despite playing 28 snaps. He figures to be a red-zone threat, but Ertz and Goedert may take targets away from him inside the 20 (and rightfully so).
‘JJAW’ has a similar playing style to Alshon Jeffery, but it’s clear to see who produces more when they are on the field. The second-year vet may find himself without a role when Jeffery comes back, so Fantasy football players should keep Arcega-Whiteside on the waivers.
Rookie John Hightower appeared to have the ‘first-game jitters’ last Sunday. He dropped an easy pass over the middle and recorded one catch for negative two yards. In standard leagues, he actually scored negative points.
He has some upside after his stellar training camp, but he isn’t worth a spot on your Fantasy football bench, at least not right now. We’ll have to wait and see how he develops.
